Writing Workshop

A venue and resources to facilitate a writing workshop for 9-12 year-old aspiring authors.

Or maybe you’re a parent without that asset, BUT you’re an advocate for children who love writing, and you’re happy to connect with your local library and request they host a workshop.

I can tell you from experience that a love of reading can often spill over into a love of storytelling and writing.

My life is proof.

At eleven years of age, inspired by Famous Five mysteries, I created my first book, “The Mystery of the Missing Banana and Stolen Diamond.”

Today as I travel to school and speak with students, I often hear them say, “I stapled paper together Mrs Allen and wrote my own book!”

Most fictional stories start with a “What if?” in the author’s mind.

I have a few “What if’s” for you.

What if… the next J. K. Rowling or Rick Riordan lives in your neighbourhood, and you just haven’t met them… yet.

What if… you were the person who provided the learning space for that budding author to begin their bestseller?

A complete story.

It takes a long time to write a good story. It’s simply not possible in two hours. :)
